Gina Russo was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is a graduate of Fairfield High School, in Fairfield, Ohio. After graduation from high school, Gina attended Bowling Green State University, where she majored in political science, with a minor in history. She then attended Wake Forest University School of Law, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. After graduating law school, Gina moved to Columbus, Ohio, to join the law firm of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease, LLP, as a civil litigator. She has lived and worked in Columbus, Ohio since 2002.
After leaving the Vorys law firm in 2012, Gina became an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. In March 2019, she became a judge on the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, where presided over a combined docket of approximately 600 civil and felony criminal cases. In March 2021, Gina was appointed judge to serve on the Franklin County Municipal Court, where she currently presides over civil and misdemeanor criminal cases.
Gina is passionate about the law and helping members of her community. She is committed to using her position to swiftly and appropriately resolve cases and to compassionately guide individuals who appear before her onto a path of personal growth and success.
Gina currently lives in German Village with her dog, Raina Jane. In her free time, Gina enjoys yoga, spinning, reading and spending time with friends and family, including her nieces, McKenna and Addy Hartwig.
